Role Of Markfed In Procurement & Distribution Of Fertilizers Through Cooperatives

Markfed is distributing fertilizers through the cooperatives since 1967 and is playing a vital role in supplying fertilizers to the cooperatives. Markfed works as a stabilizing agent in control of market prices. It ensures advance stocking of fertilizers to avoid shortages and timely supply of the same at the door steps of the farmers as per their requirement. Markfed has helped the cooperatives in making them self reliant and economically viable.
Markfed’s Share in fertilizer distribution through Coop sector is 75 %.
Markfed’s role was appreciated in union parliament by Union fertilizers Minister on 22.03.2009 for making timely supplies to cooperative sector
